Job Cost Blank Title 79831

Job costs are stored in the WIP accounts based on the product group of the job part. These are flushed out to COS following job close and capture and the remainder goes to Mfg variance. If you want to see the details of the job costs look in JobMtl, JobOpr, and JobAsmbl. And if you want even further detail on individual transactions, you need to look in PartTran and LaborDtl. Unfortunately there is no variance report directly, only the PDR. You can see the final results of the variance in the WIP report but no where does Vantage break out engineering variance, production variance or costing variance so that you can see the source.

Where does Vantage store job cost and job variance?

If I have a job with 100 pieces of raw material issued to it and I pull out 25 finished parts at standard cost, does a part generate a variance or does the job only generates a variance when it's closed?
What tables would I look at to view all the cost within a job?

Thanks,
Jasper
