I have a report which calculates this for open jobs,
let me know if you want it.

Sarah

We no longer allow attachments to files. To access/share Report Files,
please go to the following link: http://www.egroups.com/files/vantage/
(Note: If this link does not work for you the first time you try it, go to
www.egroups.com, login and be sure to save your password, choose My Groups,
choose Vantage, then choose Files. If you save the password, the link above
will work the next time you try it.)
Anyone know which table stores all the cost info showing up on the job cost
screen in Job Tracker? Or is this a calculated field every time I click on
"Cost" in the tracker? Or what fields make up this calculation so I can
write a report? Or does anybody already have a report showing these totals
in detail by job or in summary for all open jobs?

TIA

Terry, these are calculated fields. However, the totals per job assembly
are stored
in the JobAssmbl table. There are fields for 'This Level' (the totals for
this assembly) and fields for
'Lower Level' (Total of all lower assemblies). An easy way to get totals
for the job is to link the jobhead to
the job assembl and then filter on Ass# = 0. Then create a calculated field
which adds together, for example to get total job labor, the 'TLALabor' +
'LLALabor' (This level actual labor +
Lower Level Actual Labor). This would give you the total Labor for all
assemblies on the job. I have a report which calculates this for open jobs,
let me know if you want it.

HTH,

Sarah
Try starting with with the JobAsmbl.TLELaborCost , JobAsmbl.TLEMaterialCost,
ETC Fields.

Sarah:
The report you sent was exactly what I was looking for. It is good to
know, though that I was on the right track with a rough report I was working
on. You saved me a ton of time. Thank God for egroups.
