We have some parts of our manufacturing that use Quantity Only labor entry method and others that use Time and Quantity. For the T/Q operations, when we capture the labor cost for the job it multiplies the employee’s labor rate * hours. In the event that we cost two different products differently, is there a way to handle that with T/Q operations? I guess, what I’m asking, is there a way to calculate a different labor rate for T/Q other than using the employee rate?
I saw something about setting it on the job… but wondering if anyone else has gone through this or a similar exercise and has any feedback. Thanks!
