Job Min Lot Size vs Multiple

,

In what scenarios would MRP ignore the Min Lot Size number, and instead suggest jobs less than the min, based on the Multiple?

For example, on this part I’m expecting jobs of at least 120, but instead getting a job for 112 (which is a multiple of 16).
Its a make to stock job and demand is against the correct site/plant.

Any thoughts on where I should look?

Try setting the min lot to 112 or 128. Maybe it’s a rounding thing.

oh I love a rounding issue :roll_eyes::joy:
no but that’s a good point, I see if my team is open to trying that.

If you set a multiple, the Min & Max need to be multiples of that quantity. Multiple trumps the Min & Max fields.

OH is that so?! And 120 is not a multiple of 16… VERY interesting.
Gonna run with that one! Thank you @jkane !

I see what you did there, multiples of 16, my bad. Thank you @hackaphreaka !!

Yes, it will always suggest the closest the multiple can get to the min.
