Has anyone encountered job mtl that does not show in purchase suggestions
even after the job is scheduled?
We schedule a job, then add parts for months. Most parts show up in
purchase suggestions, but we are missing parts that somehow don't get
"scheduled". If you look in time phase, they're in the job, but there is no
due date, so it's not visible to purchasing. The problem is that I can't
trouble shoot this b/c I find these things sporadically, and sometimes
people just reschedule the job and don't even tell me. Rescheduling the job
always fixes it.
I'm not looking for a work around right now, I'm just wondering if anyone
else has seen this, so I can narrow my trouble shooting. Thank you.

what I have found is.........if the job is altered in anyway it needs to
be re-engineered and re-released AND re-scheduled. I know I have had jobs
that an Engr. went into, said they were "just looking" or only making minor
changes and if it wasn't rescheduled I end up with phantom details. I can
see it on the job, but it's not showing up on the schedule or in the
suggestions. It's like it's just hanging out there somewhere. I believe
that you need to do the re-schedule so that Vantage properly gathers all of
the information and then sends it out to the appropriate module.

I'm ignorant about purchasing, and this issue refers to Vantage 3.0, BUT
maybe it applies.
We found that if we changed a job by increasing the quantity (while it was
released and had parts issued to it,) that the new requirements would not
show up in time phase. The workaround is to change the Quantity Per for the
part, and then change it back - then it showed up in timephase.
Just a long shot.
