PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES
The Director IT will provide leadership, direction, oversight and support for all facets of IT related activities for the company, with the goal of growing current capabilities into world class levels. He or she will support all functions in architecting, managing, implementing and improving business systems and related personnel skill sets. The Director, IT will mature current Revision business solutions and skills, and prepare the company to capture growth while driving higher levels of efficiency and complexity management. Additionally, the Director of Information Technology will staff and execute Revision’s IT strategic plans, and ensure their harmonization with the company’s overall strategic business plan. The Director, IT will also closely advise and support other functional leaders on issues related to software technology, including product development, manufacturing, customer service, marketing, sales and financial management.
SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Chair Technology Steering Committee.
· Provide oversight of internal help desk and network administration staff.
· Manage overall IT Budget.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
IT STRATEGIC DIRECTION AND LEADERSHIP
· Working closely with internal and external constituents, develop and recommend IT strategic direction for Revision.
· Ensure IT strategic direction is in alignment with Revision’s goals and overall business direction.
· Based on IT best practices, develop plans to beneficially align IT organizational structure with the overall needs of Revision.
· Provide leadership and oversight for the internal and external team responsible for the execution of IT requirements.
· Develop a strong internal customer-service culture within Revision’s IT team.
SECURITY
Maintain responsibility for all layers of Information Technology Security.
Understand, design and recommend solutions that adhere to security best practices.
· Inform, promote and develop security standards in all facets of project development.
NETWORK MANAGEMENT
Coordinate, plan and implement major modifications to existing network infrastructure.
Oversee and ensure optimization of 4 nodes Wide Area Network.
· Anticipate future network needs and identify proactive solutions.
TELECOMMUNICATION
Oversee the planning and management of the company’s telephone system including company-wide upgrade efforts.
· Manages global mobile technology platforms including vendor management.
ASSET MANAGEMENT (HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE)
Help establish and manage automated asset management toolset.
Oversee all IT-related purchasing and work with Finance to analyze forecast to actuals comparison.
Hold responsibility for capacity planning and scheduling vendor negotiations related to IT.
· Provide leadership and develop processes for the review and selection of business software for Revision.
· Provide oversight for Revision’s ERP system to include module selection, upgrades and customization requirements.
· Provide management and oversight of all automation and production software.
· Provide management and oversight of all engineering, design and development software.
STAFF MANAGEMENT
· Hold departmental meetings to review strategic goals and initiatives, promote team building and work to provide growth paths for staff.
· Provide day-to-day supervision, conduct performance appraisals, and delegate work assignments for all IT personnel.
· Assist in recruiting, hiring, and providing appropriate training for IT support staff.
· Oversee the management of corporate help desk activities and resolve escalated issues if necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· College or university degree in Computer Sciences, Business Administration or related field.
· Minimum of 10 years’ experience in technical operations management and/or an equivalent combination of training and experience in complex work environments.
· Ability to read, analyze and interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees or other stakeholder group.
· Excellent Project Management skills.
· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (English mandatory, French is a plus).
· Proficiency in computer applications to include Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
· Broad knowledge with current technology trends, processes and hardware.
· Demonstrated, broad knowledge of ERP systems, networks, hardware and software systems, vendor and contract management.
· Demonstrated success in creating and managing budgets to architect and deliver progressively more complex IT or software related solutions.
· Demonstrated success in managing programs of increasing scale and complexity.
· Demonstrated execution mindset in fast paced, dynamic environments.
· Successful track record in leading and managing, in the creation of world class systems solutions.
· Demonstrated skills in leading high technology companies from nascent to high growth in the areas of IT, MIS and software related initiatives.
