Job Title:  ERP Specialist

FLSA Status:  Exempt

Reports to:  Director
of Information Technology

Position Summary:
Handle all facets of support for the ERP system.  Works with developers to identify and assist
with automations to enhance user department experience and adoption of the
system.  Heads the Power Users group to
develop cross department awareness of system functionality and
capabilities.  Takes ERP support
tickets/request and researches resolution, either internally or externally with
the ERP vendor or consultants. 

Essential Functions:

  1.  Takes ERP support requests/tickets
    and works to resolution

2.  Works with user departments to
enhance training and usability of the system.


Evaluates user department processes, on established periodic basis, to
create efficiencies with software functions/design.


4. Brings efficiency/productivity
enhancement requests for Business Process Modifications in the ERP system or
development requests to the IT Manager or Lead Developer for evaluation.  Works with the development staff to define
requirements and participates in acceptance testing.


5. Primary responsibility for
coordinating (project lead) system upgrades and enhancements.  Responsible for communicating and training on
the enhancement/upgrade and the benefits and changes associated.


6. Stays up to date on all
changes/enhancements/upgrades with the ERP system.  Attends annual user conference and any local
conferences to facilitate.  Participates
in forums and on line user’s communities as well.  


7. Heads the Power Users Groups to
gain cross functional awareness of system functions.  


Other Functions:

  1.   Handles general IT requests and
    assists in other IT projects as needed.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    Bachelor degree in Business
    or Information Systems or equivalent
    work experience

3-5 years managing or
supporting an ERP or equivalent system

Specific Skills:
End user support
experience, Project management experience, ERP systems, procedure writing, and
training experience.

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.:  None required.  Preferred Project Management and Training.
