Job Schedule too Early

We’ve noticed that some of our jobs are being scheduled significantly earlier than their Required Dates. This is becoming a concern, as we have limited storage capacity and cannot accommodate work-in-progress inventory for extended periods.

We are currently using Global Scheduling, and we would like to explore options to ensure jobs are scheduled closer to their actual need date—ideally no more than 7 days in advance.

Currently, we have set up a report that checks Required Date VS Start date to flag jobs that are scheduled too early. Any thoughts on how we can address this will be highly appreciated.

Yes, we do Backward scheduling. We don’t have receive time set up. Thanks.
