Jobs for Custom Tooling and no WIP Value

If you're dead set against wip value you could assign resources for creating those things that don't have burden values assigned. It would still drive drive labor but you could do a bpm to edit those labor transactions if you can identify the jobs. Another option could be backflush operations at zero time. Check into not putting any estimated time values in the operations as well..something I've seen. before is that vantage doesn't assign cost when you don't fill those in. our...if its really inventory values you're trying to avoid, you could just adjust those out at time of receipt. At the ski hill right now so just a few ideas off the cuff..there are probably even better ways i'm sure.

Subject: [Vantage] Jobs for Custom Tooling and no WIP Value

Vantage 8.03.409C

Would like to create Jobs for Custom Tooling, Fixtures and Gages. We do not want WIP Value for these Jobs. How would this process flow?

Sorry, I have not researched the current process so pinging you folks to help with the leg work.

Thanks.

Jeff
