Killing Processes

Killing any of the progress processes will stop the DB. Progress keeps up
with the various processes and can't handle having them disappear
unexpectedly.

I have a user that is trying to stop an active process. I went in the system montior and canceled it, however, it is hanging out there. Is there any way i can kill it using the process ID? The system monitor has the user ID and Process ID.
I've always just stopped and restarted the Process and Task appservers.
Whenever I tried to kill the process according to the PID it shutdown
the database. I'm not saying that will definitely happen to you but that
is just what I have experienced.

Subject: [Vantage] Killing Processes

I have a user that is trying to stop an active process. I went in the
system montior and canceled it, however, it is hanging out there. Is
there any way i can kill it using the process ID? The system monitor has
the user ID and Process ID.
