Kinetic 2025.1.11 Unable to Import BPM

We developed a BPM in Pilot (Kinetic UI), exported it to a file as usual.
But when we try to import the BPM file (via Kinetic UI BPM Designer), after we select the file the Import button is disabled and doesn’t do anything when I click on it.
I checked my user account, and I have all the appropriate settings, including the Method Directive and Data Directive Groups assigned to my account.

I’m getting the same result with the Classic UI

Is this a bug or something else?
This would be Cloud too if that has any impact.

Checked with another Client that is on 2024.2, on prem, same behavior.

Report this ASAP to Support please. This sounds like a critical issue. Let me know the case number.

Is Pilot on 2025.2?

(please be a me problem somehow)
Come to think of it I had a similar issue a month or so ago, but the BPM was so simple I just rebuilt it in Live.
I suppose Solution Manager may work… maybe I’ll try that.

Yes
(I hate this)
Why not an error message or something though!?

See @aosemwengie1 comment?
Are you on different versions too?

This one got me too. Its confusing because it doesn’t tell you why it won’t work. It would be nice if it let you click and then told you why it doesn’t work but there you go.

No I’m on Flex, so my pilot and live are both on 2025.1.11

So what are we supposed to do for proper development/testing/deployment?

Ignore my comment. I was testing a fake one, when I tested a real one from the same version it worked.

Open up the bpm with 7zip, drag out the version, and drop the version down, and drag the file back in.

You can do this without 7zip, by just renaming the bpm to zip, doing the same thing etc.

Hmmm, now I’m getting confused.
So inside the bpm zip file there is a ‘version’ file.
and it says “5.1.100.0”
The Pilot version is 2025.2 and this bpm came from there.

So I was thinking this just needed to be adjusted to read “5.0.100.0”
So I did that, zipped it back up and changed the file back to .bpm
But importing this into 2025.1, the Import button is still disabled

So I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

Just change the 5 to a 4, and you’ll be gold.

So nope… that didn’t work…
the Import button still doesn’t enable.

Soooo… I then exported another BPM Group from Live and I checked what the version file said.. and it said ‘5.0.100.0’ so I assume that is what is needed in the Pilot bpm file to be able to import into Live.
So I put that in the version file and zipped it back up and renamed it… and the Import button still doesn’t enable.
Maybe it really is broken somehow?

So then I tried to import the BPM Group I exported from Live and the Import button enables… so something is up?

As a workaround for now you could use solution workbench.
