Okay, next thing I’d do is open 2 screens. 1 screen has your application studio layer and the second screen needs to have the default Kinetic screen and start comparing them. If your layer has the new and attachment icons missing but the default layer has them, EpicCare is going to tell you to figure out your layers. I’d start comparing the base screen to your layer. It’s a grind, but there has to be something missing.
Thank you for posting about this. I was chasing it for a while and wasn’t sure what I might’ve changed by accident.
We ran into the same issue, following Mackenzie’s suggestion I took a peek at the base layer and compared it with our custom layer.
It’s silly, but all that was different was the data set under the Sales Order (Details) tab.
Base:
Custom Layer:
After making that change, we got all the icons back!
I just had this issue with a custom Part Entry layer. I had to re add the Ep Binding to the detail page, but that didn’t put the “Part - Partnum” header back. Turns out I had to go to the advanced dropdown in properties and add “Part - {Part.PartNum}” to the Page Caption field. I hope this helps out someone who is also missing the header for the page.
Thank you for sharing the solution!!
This also happened to me with Time Entry on Version 2025.2. I fixed it doing exactly the same thing ![]()
This was our deal too. Thanks for sharing.
