Trying to come up with a solution for document attachments that would be similar to how the tree view in classic used to show specific DocType “buckets” you set up in document type maintenance etc. This would have the DocType auto filled in and the user just clicks ok to upload to ECM and start a workflow.
From what I understand this is just gone completely.
When our CSR team needs to start a workflow for ECM they drag and drop their files to “folder 1” here
It auto selects the doctype, they just need to click ok to upload. Great easy to use feature.
In kinetic these buckets are just gone. When opening the paperclip menu on lines these options do not exist. You have to manually select everything. Worst of all if someone is uploading multiple files at once (which we for in the 4th folder above for example) they would have to one by one make sure they select the correct doctype. Something that took seconds now takes a lot more time and introduces room for error. Also the doctypes are in a weird order (where is this adjusted?)

What are some options to possibly replicate the tree view or do add a “bucket” for specific attachments. I hope I am not the only one out here extremely disappointed in the kinetic “upgrade”. We’re on 2024.2.10 eyeing 2025.2 soon.
