We are on Epicor Cloud 2025.2.10 and experiencing lots of sessions being logged out while user is still active. New session then acquires a 2nd license for same user. First license drops off when License timeout time is reached. We are well within our total user licenses but can figure out what is causing the dropouts? Any experience of this out there?
This was happening to us with a MITM network management software (zscalar) - check anything like that (use a different network connection)
Additionally, if you are using the browser, switching tabs makes background tabs likely to not renew the session token, timing out. There is a performance optimization you can do in browser settings to help this.
We are facing the same issue, we currently have a ticket open with EpicCare support to try and resolve this. Do you use IDP or Epicor Basic logins for your users?
We use IDP and it turns out that there is a Session Lifetime setting within the IDP Configuration/Authentication that looks like it may be part of our problem. The default setting was 60 mins and it seems that sessions were timing out whether people were active or not, separate to the individual timeout window in user setup.
We have now set this to 720 mins (12 Hours). The problem seems to have gone away in the main. We still have individual timeout windows per user in the user setup in the Live environment.
Glad to hear it’s all resolved on your side. We had that setting set to 600 minutes at the beginning of our integration. We still had the issue unfortunately, so we set ours to 0 so it never expires for trial purposes. Well… It’s supposed to not expire
This varies somehow. I’ve been seeing browser sessions persisting longer than sensible and I’m actually testing that this week. This one was started in an incognito browser session that was closed without manually logging out, and the screenshot is from a session that was hibernated overnight.
