Kinetic Cloud - Live this week and connection nightmare

We went live on Kinetic Cloud this week and we have so many connection issues. When we were testing it was pretty smooth no major issues. Now we are loosing connections and emailing issues.

Anyone that moved to cloud have a bumpy start?

Bumpy but not so much in connectivity. We had the email working in Pilot before go-live so that wasn’t too much trouble for us. A lot of our issues were print related - moving BarTender onprem and led us to installing Network Edge Agent. Also saw trouble with “associated” apps like EDI, EDA and Smart/IP&O. We also went with the read-only DB for internal reporting and the performance left much to be desired…but some rewrites got it under control.

EDIT - you mentioned email…we’re using 365…I remember we had to set up the Azure directory and application IDs plus the app secret…it’s worked fine ever since.

I’d echo John, no connection issues once we fixed a duplex issue on our own firewall. Speed and disconnects were being impacted by this improper setting on our firewall.

@utaylor Firewall…thanks for the trigger word LOL…made me recall when we initially started Pilot testing and not so much Live.
@faepigrl Check your whitelisting for Epicor Cloud sites - Epicor knowledge base KB0073235

Printing and our Routing was working fine during testing but when we went live the Script didn’t update our environment properly so the Cloud Ops has to force it. We still can’t email from routing, I have a ticket open.

I have seen a lot of issues with printing where they have to refresh the browser sometimes because print preview is not popping up. or not printing. Just seems slow. I really don’t know how to describe it.

I remember that KB. I have passed it to IT to confirm that they have completed the allow items

I spoke with IT and they are checking this too.

I’ve seen that too…seems like there’s a delay in the tasks actually starting (and then rendering the print preview). Refresh is usually a safe bet after returning to a menu.

Hopefully today goes better for you

@faepigrl How’d things work out?
