The Kinetic version of Move Inventory Request no longer shows the list of bins with inventory (like Classic does). Kinetic returns every bin (we have thousands!).
How can I filter the dropdown to show active bins only?
I started down the path of doing a BAQ search or a quick search, but wasn’t sure how to pass the partnum parameter. Not sure what’s the most efficient way to get this lost functionality back. I bet it’d speed up the dropdown load too (since it’d return 2 records instead of thousands).
I just tested this in 25.2.14 and it filters to the available location correctly. You might be able to compare the apps between the two environments create a custom layer to replicate the differences. Or wait to upgrade?
So if you click the dropdown in the From Bin, it only shows bins that have inventory of that part in it (like Classic did)?
I might have to spin up a .14 demo environment and copy how they did it. We’re on .12, and I’m happy (if that’s the case) that functionality has been updated.
I just tested one part but yes, it immediately defaulted to the primary warehouse, and when I clicked the bin drop down it only showed me the bins containing that part. But now you are making me think I should test it with more parts in case its a fluke if you are saying it doesn’t work in .12. It seems unlikely it would have been fixed in a dot release.
