But on the thick client and DMT it’s forcing SSO through Azure AD. Is there a way to put an ‘Epicor Basic’ switch on the DMT or thick client shortcut?

Check your sysconfig file

AFAIK (at least in On-Prem), that is controlled by the sysconfig file on the machine (this only applies to the smart/thick client, web is uncontrollable from my experience).

From download.epicorsaas.com download and install the SSL version of the client. That is Epicor Basic in a cloud environment.
Or if you don’t want a separate install copy your sysconfig file and rename with the postfix of SSL and change the binding as per above.
It will then be selectable for dmt and you can create a shortcut for the main client.
