We had a demo a few months ago on inkjet and laser systems that would print just about anything you want onto just about any kind of surface. I can't remember who it was, but its the same type of equipment that puts expiration dates and bar codes on things like milk cartons.

Of course if you are looking at something that can be safely removed, this wouldn't work for you. But if you are interested, I can see if I can find the information they left us.

Subject: [Vantage] Labels on Painted Parts
I'm trying to get ideas for how to label our parts after they have been
painted. Does anyone have any ideas on what type of labels we could use
that would not pull the paint off?
Thanks,
Travis Late
