Labor Edit after Capture and Post V6 versus V8

True - but that won't 'fix' any received inventory value. Also not sure if that would fix COGs for make direct jobs/sales lines.

In V8, you can still fix the labor costs on the job if you reopen and use Job Adjustment. It would be a separate entry though and wouldn't change the original labor entry. The effects on payroll would vary depending the specific error, how you do the adjustment, and your payroll process.

I am told by my accounting person that in V6, we were able to use Labor Edit on a job that had been closed even after a capture and post. Now in V8, we cannot do this as it says the labor has been posted.

Can anybody confirm this is true - that something has changed from V6 to V8?

Thanks in advance,

I am told by my accounting person that in V6, we were able to use Labor Edit on a job that had been closed even after a capture and post. Now in V8, we cannot do this as it says the labor has been posted.

Can anybody confirm this is true - that something has changed from V6 to V8?

It a specific difference between V6 and V8.

Job Adjustments are not quite as elegant as a Labor Entry adjustments so we
had to create a much tighter edit window for labor edits and a manual
confirmation before payroll posting. "Hey, I am about to post
payroll...everything in?" Everything after that payroll posting is a job
adjustment or a payroll adjustment.
