Tracing did not get me everything, but I am getting close. I am
attempting to take the steps out of the reporting process by using
nonconformance and custom code to complete the records for the NonConf,
Inspect, and DMR pieces. I am currently 2/3 of the way through. Once I
have captured the DMR number from the Inspection, I need to complete the
DMR and test. Because all of the scrap is entered by one person, and a
few other factors, we can fill the fields and not make the guy walk
through every window for every part number that is scrapped each day.

Unlike reporting scrap that doesn't do anything, reporting
non-conformance in labor entry (operational non-conformance) creates a
new record in Inspection Processing. Tracing will get you the business
object.
