Labor rate in configured inter-company MOM

In our manufacturing company, I created a configurable part and revision, a configurator, materials, operations, resources, etc. I linked the parts and set the configurator to enterprise to our distribution company.

When I put the configured part on a quote in distribution and run Get Details, it builds the MOM as expected, and my configurator can control things like material quantities and the production standard for labor time. I’m also using component pricing, and the material selling price is reflected in the unit price on the quote. But labor isn’t. Digging into the MOM on the quote detail, the operation shows the description of my resource group from manufacturing company, but the resource group itself isn’t set (and in fact doesn’t exist in the distribution company) and the labor rate is 0.00.

Is there a way to enterprise resource groups? Do I need to manually create a resource group in distribution with the same ID as the one in manufacturing? Or could it have something to do with the Production Consumption Rate and Concurrent Capacity?

Based on my experience with intercompany processes, you’ll need to either have the same resource groups in both or use the mapping tool (which doesn’t always work) to map the resources from CompA to CompB.

Thanks, I’ll give that a try.
