Labor reporting MES - Version 810

Yes, we 'Use Estimates' on all our resources. If only Epicor
corrected their software as well as you correct your responses.
I'm still waiting for a reponse from Epicor on this problem.

We have had issues since the 809 release (October 2006) with labor not
posting properly to jobs and job labor calculating to indirect on the
labor edit report. Technical support has changed the call number of
this issue three times with no resolution. Are there any other
companies who have successfully resolved this issue?

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
We are on Vista 8.0 and had similar problem reported a couple
months back. SCR32522 was supposed to fix it on 8.00.810B which we
just loaded over the weekend. Initial response from accounting is
that it is fixed now.

UPDATE ON THIS TOPIC

After further testing of the 810B patch, there is still a problem.
If the estimated hours for an operation is zero, then the actual
labor hours reported do not get added to the job. The log in/out
times are there but zero hours are reported. Typically we do not
estimate/schedule SETUP time but our shop employees will still log
in to setup for an operation. These hours are not being reported. I
am still waiting on a response to the problem from Epicor. The hours
can be updated by going through Labor Entry and adjusting the log in
or log out time and then changing it back again-it causes the hours
to be re-calculated properly.

It sounds like maybe you have Use Estimates checked on the operation?
That might create the error you are seeing.

We had an issue where it was not proportionally assigning times based
on estimate when a user clocked into multiple jobs, we were seeing
what you are, Zero labor hours getting recorded. That got fixed in
809D, and we haven't had problems since then.

Excuse me, that should have been "It sounds like maybe you have Use
