Yes. We are doing it with a report builder report. It actually is working
out very well, even though the process was very painful.

You can buy each solution from Epicor for about $2000 each. You have to
watch for upgrades on both ends for compatibility issues.

We purchased the ADP Interface from Epicor, but we quickly stopped
using it and requested our money back. It wasn't configurable enough
to cover all of our labor rules. I wrote a program in VB to extract
and process labor records and produce the ADP import file, using the
Merant ODBC driver, and it works wonderfully. I've heard similar
comments about the Epicor solution from other Vantage users that I've
spoken to. I have no experience with ADP data going into G/L.

We chose not to purchase either of them. We decided directly transferring
data did not allow us a good method to review the labor detail, so we
export it to a report and manually enter the data. The program also was
not flexible enough for our needs. The GL import did not have enough
benefit for the cost. Remember--each custom program has to be paid for
every time you do an upgrade (about 30% of original cost). If you want an
automated solution, I recommend you export the data from E-mfg to excell
and import it into ADP from there.
