I know there are probably various ways to handle this but what would be the best way to update a Job based on a late PO of a BOM item?
For example, I have a Job in place that has a purchased BOM item. We cut a PO for that item but get notified from the Supplier that the part ordered will be 30 days late. The part could be Purchase Direct or Purchase to stock but updating the Lead Time of the BOM item “seems” to only be tied to Purchase Direct parts.
Would it be a blend of updating the Promise Date on the PO, using suggestions from the Planning Workbench (not sure if I’d get any suggestions for back end items like BOM items affected by late PO’s. Those suggestions seem to revolve around front end changes like source demand changes impacting what’s in place already), Change PO Suggestions, Rescheduling the job and applying other related Job changes, or another option that I have yet to think about?
