Left Click Menu Staying on Screen

Has anyone else been experiencing the left click “Open/Open in new tab” staying on screen even when you click somewhere else?

:headstone:

We’re version 2026.100.9, I’m not sure when I first experienced this, but I left click to open in new tab a lot and it happens pretty frequently for me. It happens in edge and chrome. Also, happens for different users and in private browser tabs.

I can reliably unlock this level by switching between my home screen tabs, then left clicking to my heart’s content.

If I open an app in the same window, the menus will appear in that app. If I refresh the browser, the menus go away.

Seems harmless enough, mostly annoying…

Hope you reported this as a bug to Epcior.

Never to this level but I have seen a single “stick”

You mentioned left click… Are you left handed and have your mouse buttons flipped?

Oh, I’m a lefty  . Didn’t think about it lol. It would be right click for most people… It does happen for normal set ups with right click, just checked.

I am planning on opening a case… probably, when I get one of my open cases closed.

I thought this happened to everyone

Ok just wondered because maybe they bound the event on mouse click events or something. Thanks for confirming.

Yes happens to us too.

Couldn’t replicate it for support so no action taken. Gave up reporting it as Ctrl + F5 usually fixes it.

We reported this over 1 year ago now and there is an open problem PRB0305393.

I have found in the browser if you use the “Reload this page” icon at the top left of a tab it will get rid of those phantom pop-ups. At least this works in Google Chrome.

This right here. force the browser to grab from the server vs in cache

You can also set the tiles to always open in a new tab now so that you don’t get these annoying pop-ups. This made our users very happy.

Or they could, yknow, fix it.

We had this happen starting way back in 2024.1 (it isn’t new). Epicor was no help. We have seen context menu remaining problems when users are taxing their CPU and have older video cards. We have seen when they close unnecessary applications or we upgrade their computers, or we ctrl left click to open new tab instead of right click for context menus we do not have problems. Often more a computer problem then a user or kinetic problem IMO
