I think this is the key you want. Otherwise left outer joins crash often:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\Crystal Reports\Database\QueryBuilder\OuterJoinEscSeq
I'm pretty sure I had to add the key called OuterJoinEscSeq since it was not there by default. Then add a string with name NoOuterJoinEscSeq with a value data of pgoe1022 (which is the driver name)
Also note that if you are not using Crystal XI R2, I think you will find Suite 11.0 instead of 11.5.
