I am pretty sure it does, because we have always (and still do) used Procontrol and it works fine.
For those upgrading to a new version of Vantage (while in training/test or with your live database), running your schema changes in Single user mode runs ALOT faster also. (Performance tip for upgrading.) Sounds like a lot of companies are preparing to upgrade these days.

Another option to keep users out while you do Vantage Admin stuff is to
shut down Progress Explorer, then access Vantage from a "Single User" mode
icon. This would be a copy of your regular Vantage.vtg icon, except that
you replace the "Connections=-N TCP -H host -S epic52 -ld vantage" line to
just "Connections=-1". This opens Vantage in single-user mode (which only
works with the database shut off).

Because....when I entered all the license codes I missed the Order
Management codes and now that everyone is back in the system I can't enter
it. It requires that I be the only user in the system. The next best
window to do this is lunch. Then I'll have to walk the shop again and fix
all the DC PC's that I will have to ProMon out.
At least for us this was a quick fix issue and the total down time was
about 45 min. My sympathy to the earlier sites that were down much longer.

We are in the midst of this right now. Epicor Support sent me 4 files and
Ijust ebtered the response code but somebody in the plant tried to get
into
Vantage inbeyween kicking them out and my entering the response so the
license file was locked up. Arrrrrgh! So now I'm on hold waiting for
support to give me a new response and try again. In the mean time I'll
bet
someone else tries to get in and screws it up again.
On the bright side patch 312 is supposed to be out today or tomorrow and
has fix for this issue. From the sounds of it 311 was supposed to fix it
so the files they send are different for 305 vs. 311. Apparently a lot of
sites are reporting this.

problem. Yesterday AM all my users got the error. Called support and was
emailed two files, VNTGMENU.r and Vntgmenu.wrx. Was told to put them in

field that appears in the error message box. After the code was entered I
had to reenter all the module codes(what a pain). I was down for a couple
hours. Everything seems to be OK? We are on 5.20.305.
