Limit to Vendor name in Check Print function

Does it also truncate the address fields? If not perhaps you could use Address3, if otherwise unneeded, as an alternate name. If you prefixed it with * and used that in the check printing as a signal you could suppress Address3 from printing and force Name to use the other 49 characters from Address3. Out of 1,100+ vendors we have only 14 that use Address3.

We've just discovered that the AP Check print function only sends 30 characters of the name to the check instead of the 50 characters in the Vendor Maintenance file in version 5.1.

Does anyone know if this is corrected in 5.2, 6.0 or 6.1? While not a huge issue in North America this is causing a significant problem in our Asian facilities where Vendor names are generally longer.

We're on 5.2...still 30 char. You could just make all checks out to CASH :)
