We are a medical devices business and want to prevent anyone form modifying or re-engineering a job from the approved BOMs

Anybody know how to turn this off so a job cannot be engineered once the methods are imported
Drastic (but effective) - remove the OP & Mtl detail & list view tabs from Job Entry. Also block execution of the BO methods for adding an Op or Material (BPM or client .net code or user security) - It's been a while but I believe they are distinct BO methods that can be blocked & still allow the GetDetails method to execute & pull in approved Rev MoM details.

I suppose you could also customize job entry client to disable the Engineered control if JobHead.JobEngineered equals true.
Native controls like that one can be funny though & you may find it hard to 100pct reliably disable. Invoking other BO methods may re-enable it.

Hi

Why not use a BPM on JobEntry to test for JobEngineered = true and if so, give a warning message to stop further action.
