Common technique used for years on many systems. $0 sell prices on orders are not uncommon (freebies over-ridden during order entry).
$99,999 (we use larger number: $999,999) sticks out like a sore thumb in shipment & invoicing detail or in home grown net total reports (and thus can be fixed before compounded by further processing).
$0.00's don't jump out at people.

Leave the price $0.00 in the Part Master and you will get a 0$ price
when the order is entered if there is no price list for the part. Why is
the part master at $99,999?

Thanks for your quick reply.
Turns out, if the price is $0.00 on the price list, it reverts to the
Part Maintence price, which in our case is $99,999. Final solution add a
$.00001 price to the price list.
Thanks again.
