Going off of memory… but I think the part needs to be:
On the Revisions Tab, that should enable the Configurator ID field so you can search and select the Configurator you want to assign to the revision you’re working with.
Typically you start with the configurator AND part un-approved, then connect the two by entering the name of the configurator into the Configure ID box on the revision page and then save.
It is a good practice on the configurator entry page to check the Synchronise revision check box. Then approve the configurator which will also approve the part.
“It is a good practice on the configurator entry page to check the Synchronise revision check box. Then approve the configurator which will also approve the part.”
When this box is checked, the product configurator often becomes unapproved if a user unapproves a linked part’s Manufacturing Method.
This creates a big mess as it will not create a job properly. So we have to reopen the order, open the configurator and re-save. Then all is well again, but it affects ALL open orders that don’t yet have jobs. A big headache.
Long story short, what is the downside to NOT having the Synchronize box checked?
