Linking Customer Table to Access / Dropping Indexes?

I got instructions from support for creating a customer view to use
instead of the customer table. Works great, I'd recommend asking for
those instructions.

I am trying to do some customer imports and updates.

When I try to link the customer table into Access I get an error
because there are more than 32 indexes on the table (the Jet database
can't handle this).

So my questions:

1)Anyone knows of a workaround to e able to link this table into access

2) Can I create a view and use that?

3) If not, where do i go in progress to drop indexes temporarily?

Also, anyone know of any good books on Progress? preferrably openedge
10, but 9 would do.

Thanks
