Linking in a new table to Crystal

Not sure enough details to answer but here goes.

While the linkage of these three tables via company field (if i read your note correctly) likely will not yield meaningful data as there isn't any order number information in BOLHead, making a linkage on company field between these three tables should otherwise work.

I put together a quick BAQ in E9 using orderdtl, company and bolhead linking on company.

When the link is made between the tables the BAQ designer will not automatically define the link as using company code. You do need to add that piece of the link that specifies company as the field to link on manually.

The BAQ does run and provides data.

The link on orderdtl to yield BOL information is orderdtl to shipdtl to shiphead to BolDetail to bolhead. If you want company information you can link in company on any ONE of these tables since they all have company. Typically the link should be on the parent table, in my example orderdtl.

A colleague of mine is trying to add a table to an existing Crystal form and he is not able to get the new table to link in. I have included an excerpt of his email to me which I hope will expand on my introduction. Has anyone heard of this problem? Does anyone know of a fix? We did a simple test using the BOLHead.Company to OrderDtl.Company join with the `Business Activity Query Designer'. I came up with over a page worth of matches.

I believe that the Epicor Technician then went into Crystal Reports and tried the same link, Company to Company BOLHead to OrderDtl and came up with no results, the same result which I am getting. I should be getting over a page worth of matches.
