Lois,

As far as an Exchange client for Linux goes, Chris' suggestion of Ximain
Evolution is great. More information is available here:

http://www.ximian.com/products/evolution/

I use it and like it a lot. BTW, Evolution is Free / Open Source
Software. The connector is going to run you $69. You can try it out
for free for 30 days if you like. Another option is to just run MS
Outlook under Linux using Crossover Office:

http://www.codeweavers.com/products/office/

Crossover Office will also let you run the rest of MS Office, Microsoft
Internet Explorer, Adobe Photoshop, MS Visio, Lotus Notes, and Quicken.
It also enabled me to run Vantage under Linux (details should be on
mailing list archives).

Good Luck,

I want to build a test environment using Linux. I want to get onto
my current network (NT & W2K) and attach to my current Exchange 5.5
server. Thought about building a box with Red Hat Pro 9.0 but don't
know what to use for a connector to the exchange server. Any
suggestions with regard to the exchange connector as well as the
whole linux test environment would be very appreciated.
Ximian makes an Exchange connector for it's Evolution email client. As far
as I know, that's the only one (and they charge for the connector).
Otherwise, you can use IMAP, but then you lose the calendar and task
functionality.
