Locked Jobs Blank Title 81432

I'm not sure why you'd want to install 408A before 408B. You should be able to go to .408, then to the latest patch of .408.

It would help if the darned release notes for the patch would indicate the pre-reqs.

I'm thinking this one is most likely the culprit....

"Not sure if this is everyones problem, but I talked to Epicor today about the
408B patch that was just released. 408B is suppose to fix this:

64480 Application Labor Entry - Infinite loop when completing operation

I asked them for more details about this and it was a problem where sometimes a
job would lock up when trying to report labor / quantity on it. It didn't
affect everyone, and it didn't affect every job. The workound was to reschedule
the job, and if that didn't work, restart all the processes. Apparently this
problem has been around since 408."

I'm going to need to install patch 408A before 408B so I'm a little hesitant.

Thank you all for your input though. I will definite post the fix when I find it.

Drew

Recently we have been having quite a few locked jobs where we cannot make any entries to the job or clock employees out of it. I can't find a commonality between the jobs. We are running 8.03.408 currently and are a little gun shy to go to the 408A patch. Any ideas? Is anyone else having this issue?

Thanks

Drew
Just about 10 minutes ago someone brought me a job they could not edit. Upraded to 408 over the weekend.

This problem started in version 407 with an MES patch. We updated to
version 408A over the weekend and so far no lockups.(Only 2 1/2 days).

We have had this problem since well before v407. The common thread here appears to be updating the operations on a job without first removing the 'engineered" flag. The material on a job can be changed at will but NOT operations. And it doesn't happen to every job that this is done to. Just every so often. Support said they couldn't duplicate it so didn't know what my recourse was.
Â
Once it happens, I come in early before everyone else, bounce the database, delete the job and recreate it and advise the individual making the changes that I don't appreciate their memory loss.
