Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has seen an error like this before.
- Customer Tracker - using the base form:
- Loading certain customers.
- The following error pops up:
"An error occurred trying to set a
value of '-1' in an EpiNumericEditor.
The controls EpiBinding is 'Customer.TotOpenOrders'....."

I have a call with Epicor & they had us run conversion 9527.
But... no change after running that so I'm looking for more ideas.

Thanks
Did you customize Customer Tracker?

If you did, then you have a character field tied to a numeric text box.

No, I'm using the base form.

The only thing I notice so far is that the customers that fail to load do not have nay open orders.

We have experienced this issue on several occasions and conversion program 9527 has always done the trick. Support did suggest that we run the conversion during off hours.

If the customers at issue have no open orders, maybe they need one in order for the conversion program to count it and make the necessary updates to the record (just taking a guess here). Maybe think about re-opening an old order or creating a new, "fake" order. Just make sure they don't get processed and that you close or delete them when you're done. Maybe try one customer first to see if it works.

If you haven't seen it yet, the issue is probably on the Financial | Credit | Credit Detail tab of the Customer Tracker. The faulting control (Open Orders) is probably displaying as blank (like a hole in the form) or with a red 'X'.

Thanks for the feedback.

We ran the conversion during the day so that may be part of the problem. Will try it after hours.

BTW... I tried entering a dummy order for a customer.
It would then load into the customer tracker.
Then I closed the dummy order, the customer resumed failure to load in the tracker.

I just noticed this yesterday that ours was giving an error. We had this problem in November 2012 and we had to run conversion 9527 from Epicor. Need to check if we run the same conversion again to fix it.

Maybe try running the conversion while the dummy order is in place. Then removing the dummy order once the conversion is done.
