Looking for Perspectives

Thanks Bryan. As a Microsoft Partner, I am aware of that program at Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/itsolutions/cits/iwp/default.mspx

I was just curious if anyone had details about how Epicor was going to
implement the vision. I had heard rumors about an Outlook demo at user group
meetings. Do they require web services? Business Objects? The portal product?
SQL Server? Looks like I'll just have to wait until the keynote speaker:

SANJAY PARTHASARATHY
On Tuesday morning, you'll have the exciting opportunity to hear from one
Microsoft Corp's top executives, Sanjay Parthasarathy. As corporate vice
president of the Developer and Platform Evangelism Group, Parthasarathy's
focus is on platform strategy and evangelism of the MicrosoftR platform to
developers, IT professionals and partners.

In his keynote address, Parthasarathy will focus on Epicor's partnership with
Microsoft and why Epicor's customers will benefit. You'll also learn about new
technologies coming from Microsoft including the Information Worker solutions
Office 2007 and Windows Vista.

--------------------------------

There are two sessions at Perspectives, Tuesday @ 10:00 and Wednesday @ 11:00
"Introducing Epicor Information Worker".
I hear that Epicor is releasing YAPA (yet another product addon) that
integrates Microsoft Office with Vantage with a name like "Vantage Information
Worker". I think they're waiting until Vegas for the full discussion but does
anyone have an idea of what this will do? Can it save CRM?

Thanks,

Mark W.
Not sure if the same thing but I have some notes from local user group meeting about a pre-8.05 release having integration between CRM and Outlook. May be same or related? Pre-8.05 looks like it will be not as much a functional upgrade as a "technical" or platform upgrade to prepare for real 8.05 and will make the switch to .NET 2.0. So this "VIW" add-on may be part of something .NET 2.0 facilitates. Perspectives will certainly be very interesting this year.
