Looking for Tools to IMPORT into Vantage 8.x

The most reliable method would be with Service Connect since it uses the
normal Vantage Business Objects. If you do not have Service Connect then
you will need to write an external program and update using ODBC. This can
be a tedious process and requires considerable knowledge of the database
schema and the relationship between tables and fields. I imported all of
the data into the tables you listed before we went live. Service Connect
was not available at that time so I wrote a program. If I had it to do over
I would have definitely used Service Connect.

What great tools do you all have to import the following into Vantage
8.x for the following:

Customer info
Vendor info
Part info
Part BOM

My current data is in excel files or CSV. Most data fields are
available to be imported.

Please let me know.

We use service connect. You can use an excel file or csv file and do
almost any vantage task with that data. It is expensive to buy, but
there are so many situations that we use Service Connect.
