Lost Quote Ordered

You don't even have to re-open the quote. Just go into sales order entry and enter your header information for the order and hit save. You then click the new tab's drop down list and choose add line from quote and pull it in that way. When this happens it will remark the quote as won.

We're in the beginning stages of our implementation of Vista's CRM module and the other day we were going through quotes and if they were from several months ago we marked them as lost. Well yesterday we recieved an order for something we quoted a couple of months ago and had marked lost. We can re-open the quote but we can't force it to turn it into an order because it is marked lost. We tried adding a new task and saying that task was won-no luck. Is there anything else we can do besides duplicating the quote and winning that one? I'd rather not do it becuase it looks like we did more quotes than we actually did. Thanks in advance.

Emily, its been awhile since I dealt with this but once you win or lost I don;t think there is much you can do. Try going to the task and see if you can uncheck it as a milestone and then hit refresh on the quote or, see if you can uncheck the win/lost option on the milestone and see if that works
