Lot Tracking - Selling a Lot Tracked part direct

I meant to add..if you are trying to sell a part with lot tracking when you
ship from stock it will require you to enter a lot number which you create
when you receive into stock from manufacturing. If you ship from a job, the
default lot number becomes the job, but you can change this is the time of
shipping.

We need to create Quotes & Sales Orders for sale of a stocked part
direct to a customer. In some cases our customer requires material
from a specific Supplier. Rather than creating Supplier specific part
numbers, it has been recommended that we use Lot Tracking on a generic
part number to track material for each Supplier.

Problem we are finding is that when you select a Part on a Quote or SO,
you cannot see or select the Lot Number. Can someone help us
understand how or if we can somehow sell a stocked part directly from a
Lot.

Thanks.
Did you mark the generic part number as Lot tracked? Go to Part
maintenance and it would be located on the main screen on the right hand
side.

Are you saying the Lot field does not exist on the Sales Order? Or that

We use lot tracking, but I don¹t believe it is available in the sales order
or quote files. It is between, production, inventory shipping/receiving
applications.
