Maintenance Mangement 10.2.400

We are testing, getting ready to implement the Maintenance Mangement.
Is anyone using it?
How is it going?
Any recommendations on using it?
We currently have asset management, all of our assets are in, and all of our equipment in place.
I noticed maintenance requests have to be approved then jobs created with operations added, then released. Is the a standard way to speed up that process, go directly to an approved job with a standard routing?

Trying to keep the process as lean as possible.

Thanks

We implemented at the beginning of the year and users are still figuring out their preferred workflows. The biggest issue (pushback) we’ve had so far is exactly as you said – in our previous system, maintenance was able to easily create a work order and apply materials and labor against it all in 1-2 steps. In Epicor, it’s a lot more involved. You can add a template job to the Company, Site, and Equipment records, but we haven’t had the chance to test how automated that makes job creation.

Thank you, that is what I figured is going to be the biggest hurdle is the job creation.

Job template will help.

We use the Epicor PO requisition process, I just confirmed this morning, you can make a requisition to purchase an item directly to the maintenance job, and when it is approved and the PO created it automatically adds it to the job – nice functionality.

Have you done anything with preventive maintenance schedules?

Our users are starting to populate them and we haven’t had much feedback on them yet, but they’re the next part we want to start using well.

@tsmith and @lairdl - We are looking for a solution to track our Equipment Maintenance. Do you feel the implementation of Maintenance Management has improved tracking machine downtime and expense for your company? Do you use Advanced Scheduling in Epicor with Maintenance Management?

Thank you for your time!
