Make Job(s) Inactive MRP

Might be a silly question but here is the scenario. We have handful of Jobs that have one or more Unit(s)(Job Operation Nonconformances) that are open. Currently our engineering department is looking for a fix to complete these units but they don’t have an immediate time frame. But in the meantime, MRP thinks these Jobs are valid sources of supply.

So is there anyway mark or modify these jobs so MRP doesn’t use them as a source?

You could put them in a non-nettable bin.

The Job needs to stay open until the Engineers have a fix, then production can finish the operations out. The Job has WIP Qty of 1 or more. So while we are waiting, MRP says the WIP Qty is still a valid source but it really isn’t. Does that make sense?

Yes. Do you have Advanced Material Management?

You could try to use the item from the Actions menu called Remove From Schedule. Go to Actions/Schedule/Remove From Schedule. This will keep the Job open, but MRP will ignore it.

We do have Advanced Material Management.

Then make a non-nettable location in WIP and put it there.

The Remove From Schedule seemed to do the trick! Thanks!
