Mark For!?!?! Blank Title 123684

I have noticed this issue with Sales Orders created from Demand Management for Sales Kits parts. Component parts doesn't have Mark For, ShipToCustNum, Mark For ShipNum etc.

As far as we know it's populated from the release. When a release is
created is when the Mark For is filled in. We are not yet sure what causes
the Mark For to be empty, but it is an as of yet unresolved reported bug
that has plagued us since 607. Not sure what the conditions are to
reproduce it, best we could manage is something with a changing ship to
midstream might impact it.

Yes I know where it is located but how does it get populated. The mark for
tab on order entry has been hidden for our sales reps. I have an order
where line 1 rel 1 has no mark for and line 1 rel 2 has a mark for. Since
the users cannot actually load it manually (no screen available to them),
the system must be populating it somehow. The question is how...

We suppress the mark for on the packslip since this is not a function we

Better to suppress than delete.

It prints on the packslip when {shiphead.Calc_ShipToAddress} <>

I can't seem to figure out where Mark For comes from. Does it originate on the customer record, the sales order, or somewhere else? It appears sometimes on our packslips and can throw a real kink into customs.

Any ideas out there?

Tom, It's located in sales order entry under the releases tab, titled
Mark For. When we enter orders, we double check to be sure the Mark For
is the same as the release ship to address.

I think you are onto something with the "changing ship to midstream." Nasty little bugger is hard to identify. I think I'm going to have to throw a bam together and try and figure this one out.
