have noticed a change in the behavior of the Mass Issue command in Epicor 9.
We had a job for 100 pieces and 40 components were already issued to the
job. In Vantage, we would just issue enough for next number going through
the job, in this case 20 more assemblies. When we issued material for 20
more assemblies, it actually reduced all of the components by 20!
To issue for 20 more assemblies, we had to issue components for 60 (40 + 20)
assemblies. I thought, "Hey, maybe we can mass un-issue!" Uh, no. If all of
the components were issued and you try to issue for zero assemblies, it does
not unissued any material. In my test database, I added one to the
Production quantity and then changed the assembly quantity to one in the
Mass Issue command and it unissued all of the material. I could then change
the production quantity back to the original quantity and I was back at a
completely unissued state.
While this behavior may "Work as Designed", I don't think it was "Designed
to Work" this way.
