We’re seeing a lot of unnecessary entries appearing in the Material Request Queue. From what I’ve read, seems to be a fairly common issue among other Epicor users as well.
I’ve confirmed that none of the “Request Move” checkboxes are selected. I don’t believe this has to do with the resource groups, but also tested enabling “Auto Move” at the resource level and running transactions but the MQR entries are still being generated.
This behavior only occurs with certain transaction types. For example, the one we see most often is PLT-STK, which is a transfer order transaction. When an operator completes a transfer order using Transfer Order Receipt, an MQR is automatically created, instructing the system to move the item to a seemingly random warehouse/bin location. We do not want this to happen.
Is this expected behavior? And if so, is there a way to prevent MQRs from being generated automatically in these cases?
Hmm wonder if that may just be the way to go.
Out of the 3290 we currently have in the queue, we do have a couple with that transaction type.
Ultimately, I’d like to get these all from generating, but as you can see, PLT-STK is the biggest kicker right now.
@hackaphreaka If you use the “To Location” button when receiving, it should skip the MRQ entry.
@jrc1293 if you’re using EKW to do your receiving of transfer orders, there is a setting that will bypass adding the transaction to the material request queue.
You must have security manager credentials to make the change:
Main Menu>Settings>Receipts>InterCompany Receipt
Toggle Set all lines locations to part default location on.
