can you take a copy of that log file and upload?

TestServerLog.txt (397.7 KB)

Is anyone (else) using Test or just you?

There may have been one other user at the time.\

Here’s one with no one but me: TestServerLog.txt (32.3 KB)

ok in admin console session (what sessions you have live? kill them all from thre)
also in Task Manager what is Process ID 78472

I’m guessing 78472 is your app server PID? or is that Task Agent?

78472 is the w3wp.exe process.

And if you stop the Task Agent everything goes back to normal?

Nope–that appeared to be a coincidence. The task agent is currently stopped and the worker process keeps growing.

Do me a favor, recycle app server (leave task agent off)
Does it go crazy right away?

It does, yes.

I wonder if you have a bunch of stuff in your async queue… let me find that table.

Ice.MailQueue?

There’s actually quite a bit in there. Should I purge those?

I’m very late to this conversation, but I’ve run into W3WP problems many times.

Aaron, do you by chance have Enterprise Search Management on that App Server?

Yeah that should be empty., how much is “quite a bit”
