The dilemma I am having is we have 2 versions of Part Entry, Classic and Kinetic. Users want the Engineering Workbench to launch in Kinetic from the Kinetic menu, and Classic from the Classic menu. What is the best way to set that up? My initial idea is to set the form as User Choice and have them toggle the preferences to point to Classic/Kinetic.
My goal is to prevent having to create duplicate menus during the transition if possible.

If you leave the menu Item on Classic and tell them to use the Web to use Kinetic the web version will always launch the Kinetic version (this is kinetic 2023). Setting the menu Item to user Choice it will fail.
In 2025 it works different and will use the agent to launch the Classic client if the menu item is set to classic.
Above is basically how we introduced people to Kinetic IE use the web it’s just better than desktop Kinetic and fall back to the Desktop Client if you want/need to use a Classic screen
Set the Smart Client to “Classic” and have them use the Browser to access Kinetic screens.
