Need to find out if there is a way to tell if a user clocks into MES using the keyboard and the employee id or if they use the terminal’s fingerprint reader. Can anyone give me hint as to where to look to get my head around how these devices work with Epicor?
This is going to be highly dependent on how your hardware is set up to interface with Epicor. Are the fingerprint readers just USB devices that control the terminal? If so, you’ll probably need to ask the manufacturer how they enter data.
Thanks for the reply Tyler. Sorry I got side-tracked after asking the question. It’s an add-on to a POS unit. I was just wondering if there is some general interface within Epicor that such devices had to use.
I’ll check with the manufacture and see what they have.
