It is supposed to be corrected in 606, I don't have the SCR number.

We have come across a bug in the MES system that can cause major
problems with job costing in certain circumstances. This bug affects
Vantage 409C and possibly all versions of E9 before 9.05.606.

If you use MES and allow operators to override the scheduled resource,
be aware that the system will replace the LaborRate from the EmpBasic
table with that from the selected Resource.

This has caused a very significant undervaluing of our Labor Costs for
the 9 months since we upgraded to 409C to the tune of almost $900K,
since in our case the primary operation detail record is always tied to
a machine resource which all have a zero labor rate. Since we use
vantage scheduling very heavily we always have at least two operation
detail records, one for machines and one for labor. All of our labor
cost estimates come from the second (non-primary) op detail record.

Because Applied Labor is not used in our P&L (we use actual labor costs
on the P&L) the impact is really on WIP value, scrap value and
inventory.

I developed a BPM which fixes the problem on the fly and you can edit
the laborrate on UNPOSTED labor details by customizing the LaborEntry
screen. Epicor has also provided us a corrected labor.r.

So if you use MES and allow override, please look carefully at the
LaborRate field on the LaborDtl records.

Mercer;

We have seen this once we moved to 8.03.409C also, through 9.05.604A and knew it was a bug but did not know why. Nice detective work!
We are readying to move to 9.05.606 shortly, so I hope it is fixed? I did not see it in the SCR's on the SPK Release notes or did I miss it?
