Method Directive on PartPlant Table

Hello,

You have to use "specified field of the changed row is equal to" and also add  "specified field of the ADDED row is equal to" put both conditions with an OR so it takes both of them. That should do it.

I am attempting to raise an error message when PartPlant.NonStock = False and PartPlant.BuyerID is not a specific buyer. I have set up a method directive on Part.Update. I am using the "specified field of the changed row is equal to" option. It works fine when updating a part that is already in the database. When I enter a brand new part it is not hitting the validation. Is Part.Update not the correct method for this? How would I catch this validation on a newly inserted PartPlant record? Thanks in advance.
